10 Ways To Relieve Stress With Trippy Coloring Sheets
There's nothing quite a meditative as a psychedelic coloring page's surreal swirling lines. Here are 10 craft ideas to try once you've printed colored in your favorite hypnotic coloring pages.
1. Mesmerizing Wallpaper
To turn your trippy coloring pages into wallpaper, begin by measuring and cleaning your chosen wall. Scan and print your favorite colored pages if you'd like a uniform design. Trim white borders from all the pages so only the colored pictures remain.
Starting in an upper corner of the wall, use wallpaper paste or modge podge to paste each page firmly onto the wall. Cut away any overhanging edges near doors or windows.
After covering the wall and letting it dry, apply a clear protective finish to safeguard your one-of-a-kind artwork.
2. Wrapping Paper
Use your finished pages to wrap small gifts, or combine several pages to cover a larger present.
Tip: Don't be afraid to make copies of your favorite colored pages so you can make the most of your masterpieces.
3. Decoupage Flower Pots
Snip your colored pages into small, 1-2 inch pieces. Apply them onto a plain flower pot using a brush, mod podge, or decoupage glue. Follow a random or patterned style.
Once dry, protect your creation with a clear waterproof sealant.
4. Psychedelic Collage
Create a collage by cutting out various shapes or pieces from your colored pages. Stick them onto a canvas or thick paper in a visually pleasing design.
Try including other materials, like buttons, ribbons, or concert ticket stubs for extra texture and meaning.
5. Artistic Origami
Transform your psychedelic adult coloring book into beautiful origami figures. If you're a beginner at origami, start with simple designs like a crane or boat.
Using hypnotic coloring pages as your origami paper will add a unique and captivating twist to your pieces.
6. Creative Coasters
Turn your pages into square pieces around 4x4 inches (or the size of your coaster base).
Glue them onto plain cork or wooden coasters using a brush.
Seal your work with a clear waterproof sealant such as a mod podge.
7. Customized Notebook Covers
Cut your colored pages to match the size of your notebook cover. Apply a thin layer of glue to the cover and attach your colored page.
To make your cover last longer, cover it with clear plastic paper like Contact Paper. (Packaging tape works in a pinch too!)
8. Funky Gallery Wall
Frame your psychedelic coloring pages and display them as wall art.
A standard 8 x 10" photo frame works well for individual pages or try a larger frame to create a collage of smaller pieces.
Tip: Frames with matting can make your artwork stand out even more.
9. Paper Mache Bowls
Tear your psychedelic colored pages into small pieces and use them in a paper mache project. Inflate a balloon to your desired bowl size.
Cover half of it with your paper pieces, using a mixture of glue and water to stick them together.
After it dries completely, pop and remove the balloon.
10. Groovy Paper Beads
Create beads by cutting your colored pages into long, thin triangles. Starting from the wide end, roll the paper around a toothpick or straw, using a little glue at the tip to hold it in place.
Once dry, slide them off and string them together to create vibrant necklaces, bracelets, or garlands.
